Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) hosts an annual meeting of its Global Forum in Vienna, which is attended by a wide range of stakeholders with an interest in energy issues from renewables to efficiency.

This year's forum which ran from June 18th-20th, was an excellent opportunity to share GFEI's work as part of the SE4ALL Accelerator platform, and to gather interest in and support for the '100 for 50by50' coalition which GFEI is building as its contribution to COP21's action agenda.

Sheila Watson, Executive Secretary of GFEI addressed two panels and the High Level Energy Efficiency VIP lunch on the opportunities which 2015 offers to promote the whole efficiency agenda. She said '2015 presents a huge opportunity to achieve a step change in action. The UN's post 2015 framework, G20 energy efficiency action plan, Sustainable Energy for All, and the Lima-Paris Transport Action Agenda for COP21 are all building vital political momentum for improved fuel efficiency.

Our fuel efficiency accelerator is tapping into all of these processes, and building on our Climate Summit commitment - but we need your support. We are engaged with 50 or so countries now, but we want to use the political opportunities offered by 2015 to double that number. Our campaign - '100 for 50by50' countries is a great opportunity for countries, corporates, consumers and civil society to really step up. We aim to report some successes towards this by COP21'
